The Mathematics Support Associate works in collaboration with Mathematics Teachers and under the direction of the Mathematics Coordinator and Math team leader/Head of Department to provide academic mathematics support based on the learning needs of our students. The assignment will include direct student contact for 6 out of 8 teaching periods, plus a schedule of lunchtime and afterschool support for students as determined by the Mathematics Coordinator/Principal (according to the needs of the program/students). The contract period will be for one school year for a total of 193 Work Days (182 Instructional Days and 10 Professional Days). This is a one-year position that may be extended up to two years of employment based on student and/or school needs.
Personal Qualifications and Attributes
● Valid teaching certification is required
● Certification as a secondary Mathematics teacher preferred
